Purpose

Use the ACCEPT command to add a rule allowing access to Object to the Fs USRDFLT rule file. The rule becomes effective immediately. The ACCEPT command is a shortcut for the ADD USRDFLT... command.

Authorization

MANAGE authorization over the rule file to which the rule will be added or SAFADMIN authorization.

Parameters

Requestor:

    USER Userid

Specifies the requesting userid. Trailing pattern matching may be specified. The keyword USER is optional and may be omitted.

   

    ACIGROUP Groupid

Specifies the name of an acigroup that requesting users are members of. Trailing pattern matching may be specified.


Action:

    READ

Allows "READ" access to Object.

   

    WRITE

Allows "WRITE" and "READ" access to Object.

   

    CO-OWNER

Allows "WRITE" and "READ" access to Object and authorization to update the fs USRDFLT rule file.


Object:

Specifies the object over which access is being granted.


    SFSObject:

    fn

1 to 8 character pattern matched file name. File type is required if file name is specified.

    ft

1 to 8 character pattern matched file type. File name is required if file type is specified.

    fp

1 to 8 character pattern matched file pool name. Default is `*:'.

    fs

1 to 8 character pattern matched file space name.

    dir1...dir8

Each directory specified is a 1 to 16 character pattern matched directory name.


Options

    MIXED

Indicates that the filename and filetype specified in the SFS Object contain mixed case characters and should not be upper cased by SafeSFS.

Usage Notes

  1. The ACCEPT command may only be used to add ACCEPT rules to USRDFLT rule files.



Examples
  1. SAFESFS ACCEPT JIM READ *:JOE.
    This rule allows JIM to read file space JOE and all objects in it. Since the file pool is an *, the rule applies to all file pools served by the SafeSFS server. The rule is placed in the JOE USRDFLT rule file.


  2. SAFESFS ACCEPT * READ * EXEC *:JOE.PROGRAMS
    This rule allows all users to read all files with a file type of EXEC, in the JOE file space PROGRAMS directory, in all file pools. The rule is placed in the JOE USRDFLT rule file.
